Next Week: Getting You Back “ON” Your Business

With the global attempt to flatten the COVID-19 curve many businesses have had to shut their doors and like many of us, now face an uncertain future. During next week as we self isolate and adjust our families to being around the house all day long, I will share a business project a day which you can initiate to put your business in a better position when things get rolling once again. No one knows how long our current situation will last, but don’t let your business get caught up in doing nothing, just as your business relies on you, your community might be relying on your business to provide employment, supplies, and services. Forward this to your contacts and small or medium sized business owners so they can be prepared with plan for a successful re-opening.
What is “IN” versus “ON”?
One of my consistent sayings is that business owners need to know when to be “in” the business versus when to be “on” the business. “In” the business is described as the day to day things that owners must do to keep things running as smooth as possible. Most business owners get thrown “in” the business, simply because there are too many tasks created while being “on” the business, and there is only themselves to complete them. Unfortunately, this is especially true the smaller the business is. When I refer to “On” the business, it’s all those things you do to ensure the business can exist. From budget development to sales generation, securing a location for your business to ensuring your product or services are current and needed. These are the essentials that help your business survive and hopefully grow.
Share And Help Others
I hope you can utilize the five projects next week (one-a-day), but if I can help you or others with even a small business tip, I will feel rewarded. You can’t do everything yourself so don’t be afraid to ask questions on my social media platforms or contact me for extra help. As a consultant, I find a great reward in transferring my knowledge and skills to help others succeed, especially during difficult times. Know that a planned execution on your strategy will be rewarded with results. Make the choice to support your business with solutions that make it even more valuable.
